Back to the Hoover Building on beautiful Bois Blanc Island. Bois Blanc Island Parks and Recreation Department invites you to join Northern Michigan Drum Village for a community drum circle with facilitator Lynn Turner. No experience necessary. Some percussion instruments will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring an instrument or something to bang on. Look around... almost anything can be a drum! Only percussive instruments please. 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Hoover Building. FREE. Donations are welcome.
A wonderful group gathered the night of August 11th at the Hoover Building on fabulous Bois Blanc Island. Approximately 19 people were on hand for drum joy. The group included musicians from as far away as Colorado to the youngest drummer from next door. Several advanced musical professors along with non-musicians made up the composition of the circle that engaged with playful group patterns and a group jam.
